THE SCIENCE OF SPOT-FREE

The science of glass that dries without spots.

Tap water leaves minerals behind when it dries, and those minerals are the spots and streaks. We take them out first, then rinse your glass from the air with purified water, with nothing touching the pane.

WHERE SPOTS COME FROM

A water spot is a mineral left behind.

Tap water carries dissolved minerals such as calcium, magnesium and sodium. When ordinary water dries on glass, the water evaporates and the minerals stay behind as spots and streaks.

So the cornerstone of our streak-free process is purified water. With the minerals taken out before the water reaches your building, the final rinse has nothing to leave on the glass when it dries.

That is also why we skip the traditional tools: no sponges, no forced air, no squeegees. The purified rinse air-dries streak-free.

THE FILTRATION

How we take the minerals out.

Our deionization system passes the water through ion exchange resins, which pull out the charged minerals. What comes out is pure water that cleans glass without leaving residue.

We use deionized or reverse-osmosis purified water, RO/DI for short: ultra-purified water, so nothing is left on the glass to dry into spots or mineral buildup.

We stage the filtration on the ground before the first flight, and the purified water travels up the tethered hose to the drone.

THE SPRAY

Even pressure, and nothing touching the glass.

Our drones spray at a controlled, consistent pressure. That gives even coverage across the whole pane, and because nothing touches the glass, there is no smudging and no uneven drying from contact.

Our window systems run around 900 to 1,500 PSI at the nozzle, sprayed from approximately ten feet away; the pressure that actually reaches the glass is significantly lower and comparable to an automatic car wash.

A sponge or a squeegee can leave lint, scratches or streaks. A spray lifts the dirt and grime without dragging anything across the glass.

Two photos side by side of tinted stairwell glass: on the left, in flat light, a white streak runs down the pane among scattered spots; on the right, in direct sun, the glass is clear.

WHEN WE ADD CHEMISTRY

Purified water first, chemistry where it helps.

Whenever possible we clean with purified water only, which is how we keep the environmental impact down. When a surface needs it, we add surface-appropriate chemistry, chosen for the dirt, the material and the conditions, and on tough stains our FoamStream system clings longer and rinses spotless.

Either way, the last pass is the purified rinse, so the glass still dries spot-free.

OLD SCALE

Old scale needs restoration first.

Purified water is how we prevent new spots and mineral buildup; it does not undo years of baked-on scale. If your windows carry heavy mineral staining or years of neglect, drone cleaning alone will not fully restore them. We recommend restoration first, by rope access or traditional methods, and the drone comes back to keep the glass clean.

WHY IT MATTERS

Clean glass says something about the building.

Spot-free windows do more than look better: they show the care that goes into your building. Clean, streak-free glass adds curb appeal, lets in more natural light and makes a good first impression on customers and visitors alike.
