ROOF CLEANING

Your roof, soft washed from the air.

Low-pressure soft washing from a tethered drone. In most cases roof access is not required. Every site gets its own plan.

From above, one of our cleaning drones sprays a blue standing-seam metal roof on a long stone-block building, with our branded pickup, a trailer, orange cones and a person in a safety vest in the lot below.

WHY FROM THE AIR

Roofs take the worst of the weather.

A roof faces the harshest conditions on a building, and over time that shows up as algae growth, dirt buildup, mold and debris.

The usual fix sends a crew up with a pressure washer. Pressure and work at height can be risky on any roof, and on tile above all.

So we work from the air. Our drones lay down a low-pressure cleaning solution.

ROOFS WE SOFT WASH

Metal to terracotta, one gentle method.

Tell us what your roof is made of, and we match the cleaning solution to it and keep the pressure low.

  • Metal roofs

Standing-seam and panel metal on commercial and industrial buildings.

  • Asphalt roofs

Shingles, where algae grows into dark streaks.

  • Rubber and built-up roofs

The flat and low-slope roofs of commercial buildings, where dirt and debris settle.

  • Tile and terracotta roofs

Where pressure washing and foot traffic are especially risky, so we keep the pressure low.

HOW A MISSION RUNS

From pre-flight to landing.

A soft wash works in three moves: the solution goes on, it dwells, and a gentle rinse carries the grime away. Here is the flight, start to finish.

  1. PRE-FLIGHT

    Assess the site

Before the first flight we assess the site, set a safety perimeter on the ground and stage the soft wash rig.

  2. LIFT-OFF

    Solution up the tether

A tethered hose carries water and cleaning solution from our rig on the ground up to the drone.

  3. THE SOFT WASH

    Let the solution work

The drone lays the solution evenly across the roof at low pressure and gives it time to dwell.

  4. THE RINSE

    Rinse it away

A low-pressure rinse carries the broken-down grime off the roof.

Our company was designed from the ground up around drone cleaning.

Jay Hanna, Co-Founder

Drones do the height. For the rest we bring proven ground equipment: water-fed poles, lifts and traditional access when a job calls for them.

QUESTIONS

Straight answers, before you call.

Will anyone walk on my roof, and will you disrupt my tenants?

In most cases roof access is not required: the drone cleans it from the air while we fly from the ground, which keeps disruption to tenants and building operations to a minimum. We review the site in advance to settle staging and access.

Which roofs can you soft wash?

Metal, asphalt, rubber, built-up, tile and terracotta, flat or steep-pitched. Tell us what yours is made of when you ask for a quote, and a project manager plans the wash around it.

How much pressure do you put on a roof?

Soft washing is a low-pressure method, and a gentle rinse carries the grime away.

Do you use chemicals on a roof?

Yes. A soft wash works through its cleaning solution: surface-appropriate chemistry with purified water, chosen for the dirt, the roofing material and the conditions. Where city or state rules require it, we reclaim and dispose of the wastewater.

What happens on the ground while you fly?

Below the aircraft we mark a safety zone perimeter with caution tape, cones and barricades, put MUTCD standard signage on any sidewalk or street we work near, and station visual observers with the pilot.

What about wind?

Wind decides the day. Even light wind can push water and chemicals off target and cause uneven dwell time. Sustained wind of 0 to 10 mph is ideal; 10 to 15 mph is case by case with a limited scope; 15 mph or more, or gusty, is a no-fly, and we build at least one buffer day into the schedule.

Can you clean the solar panels on my roof too?

Yes. Solar panel cleaning is its own service, with non-abrasive, contactless cleaning and purified water. Mention the panels when you ask for a quote.
