SOFT WASHING

Soft washing lets the solution do the work.

Soft washing cleans with low-pressure water and a cleaning solution that breaks down dirt, then rinses it away gently. We fly it from a tethered drone, with no scaffolding or ladders on your building.

WHAT SOFT WASHING IS

A gentler alternative to pressure washing.

When it comes to a building's appearance, power washing and pressure washing are what most people picture. Soft washing is the gentler alternative: low-pressure water paired with a cleaning solution.

Where pressure washing blasts dirt away with high-pressure water, a soft wash uses specialized cleaning solutions to break the contaminants down, then rinses them off gently. That makes it the method for delicate surfaces: roofs, building facades, windows and siding.

High-pressure washing, up to 4,000 psi, is for masonry, concrete and industrial surfaces.

HOW A SOFT WASH WORKS

Apply, dwell, rinse.

A soft wash works in three moves: the solution goes on, it dwells, and a gentle rinse carries the grime away.

  1. APPLY

    The solution goes on

The drone applies a cleaning solution made for what is on the surface: dirt or pollen. It breaks the contaminants down instead of blasting at them.

  2. DWELL

    Give it time

The solution sits for a short period, long enough to work into the grime, stains and organic buildup and loosen them.

  3. RINSE

    Rinse it away

Once the buildup has broken down, a low-pressure rinse washes it away, gentle on delicate surfaces. On glass, the last pass is purified water, so it dries spot-free.

WHERE IT FITS

Roofs, facades, siding and glass.

If you are dealing with stubborn stains on an outside surface, a soft wash is where we start.

  • Roofs: black streaks, cleaned from the air at low pressure.
  • Facades and siding: a clean, professional face for your business, without the cracking or peeling paint high pressure can cause.
  • Windows and glass: a streak-free shine, without risking the glass.
  • Solar panels: they need gentle cleaning, and ours is non-abrasive and contactless.

WHY BY DRONE

The wash goes up the tether, not up a ladder.

A soft wash from a drone needs no scaffolding or ladders on your building: the aircraft does the work at height. The solution and the rinse travel up a tethered hose from our rig on the ground, and the pilot and crew stay on the ground with it.

When the buildup is baked-on soot or grease, we bring heated water instead, and where a surface can take it, high pressure.

QUESTIONS

Soft washing, answered.

Which surfaces call for a soft wash?

Delicate ones: roofs, building facades, windows and siding, where high pressure could crack, peel or etch the surface. Masonry and concrete can take high pressure, so the plan names the method for each surface before the first flight.

Why does a soft wash need dwell time?

Because the solution, not the force of the water, does the cleaning. Left on the surface for a short period, it works into the grime, stains and organic buildup and loosens them, so a low-pressure rinse can carry them away.
